Coalition: Computing Freedom

Don't support this issue?

Coordinators: C.F. of Boston, C.P. of Haverhill

This coalition exists to unite issues relating to using, building, and programming computers without restrictions imposed by third parties with self-serving agendas. In a society that relies so heavily on computers, having universal computing freedom is an essential precondition to having a free society.

In addition to voting on the issues contained within this coalition, suggested resources relating to this coalition's goals include the following:

Free Software Foundation: http://www.fsf.org/

Electronic Frontier Foundation: http://www.eff.org/

Binary Freedom: http://www.binaryfreedom.info/

FreeCulture.org: http://freeculture.org/ | Definition of Free Cultural Works: http://freedomdefined.org/

Please contact the coordinator(s) if you have an issue you'd like to align with this coaltion.

This page represents a coalition of the following issues:

123Massachusetts Should Use Free Software Exclusively
32Open Documentation Standard in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

Note: the numbers listed above are the votes for each issue. On the issues overview pages, vote totals for coalitions include only the unique votes, and so will be lower than the sum of the numbers listed here by the number of people who voted for more than one of these issues.
